When it comes to hair loss, there are no surprises for us. At Hair Therapy in Christchurch, we see people for all sorts of reasons. Every situation is different and requires a different solution.

We can provide you with all the information you need to make the best decision about your hair. We can also supply a suitable solution and provide a full backup service.

Here’s how the system works:

1. Make an appointment to meet one of the qualified male or female consultants at our professional salon in Riccarton. For your privacy, there is no advertising on the building apart from our name.
2. You’ll be shown to a private salon to meet your consultant. The atmosphere is pleasant and serene not clinical and medical. S/he will do a visual assessment and determine your requirements. We recognise losing your hair can be very emotional. If you want to bring a friend or family member along that’s fine.
3. Select from our extensive range of women’s wigs or men’s hair replacements. Alternatively we can design and create a custom hair replacement. We will help you choose the best hair for your skin, colouring and face shape and will treat you with dignity and respect. You may want to come in for two or three visits before you feel comfortable with your final decision. That’s fine by us too.
4. Your new hair is fitted to ensure it looks right and feels right. Your new hair and your real hair may need to be trimmed to customise your look. We can do that for you at Hair Therapy.
5. We provide a full backup service. You can visit us regularly for post fitting care, advice on maintenance and a trim if your real hair grows back. Some services have an additional charge.

How much will it cost?

Appointments are free but the hair varies in price depending on how it is constructed. Is a qualified designer involved? Is it human hair or man made fibres? Handmade or machine made? We will be very clear through the consultation process what these options may mean for you.

A consultation fee applys except when referred to by a medical professional.
